    Glad to see this. Even though quite a few Latin American countries have made some important advancements in LGBT rights, I'd say it's one of those things where the government is more progressive than the people. Machismo is deeply ingrained in most of Latin America, and it's been a difficult attitude to eliminate. Machismo even still exists in Spain even though it's the least machista Hispanic nation these days.
