I go for the option that leaves the greatest number of urinals possible between all those present.

I seldom use public toilets. I've trained my system so well over the years that I never have to go while I'm out. The urges usually hit while I'm at home. However, in the rare instances I do have to go in public, I always choose a stall even to pee because I have a shy bladder. Standing at the urinal makes me tense up, and I can't go no matter how badly I have to go.

Holding it in has to have far more adverse health consequences than any germ you could possibly contract from a public restroom.

I use stalls, too. I hate when you hit the plastic and the piss splashes back on you. I have had that happen more than once. Plus, there are puddles of pee around the urinal.

LOL! That's certainly true, however, my habit began at such a young age that I almost never get the urge in public anymore. I automatically tense up anywhere in public, so it's like the nervous system in my bladder just shuts down automatically.

Plus, all you see ahead of you is a wall full of boogers when standing at the urinal. At least most stalls have some hilarious messages, graffiti, and occasional peep holes, lol.

I have no problem peeing in the showers at the gym with other guys there. I don't mind if others to do the same. Urine is clean.

+1 - However, we have been trained to believe that urine is gross and that we will some how become infected by some sort of disease, if it comes in contact with our skin. If you take a look at the actual composition of urine - is 95% water, with the rest being urea, chloride, sodium, and potassium these are natural elements in our environment. Certain foods will change the color urine as well as odor.

Do whatever you want at home. However, I think guys should refrain from peeing in showers if only because it makes MANY others uncomfortable.

Is this about to descend into a water sports thread? I hear apologetic explanations about pee being clean...

What really sucks is that I have shy bladder so I wind up taking forever to piss if someone is REALLY social around the urinal and that annoys me.

I was just thinking of that time in Fort Lauderdale...the "Public Utility" sign around the neck. Hmmmmm.

I always do the one space rule. The trouble is, in my uni library they only have two on each floor. I've not yet figured out whether it's better to loiter by the sinks until the other person is done or go and pee next to them. I imagine this is a life lesson that will come with time.

Same here...who cares if I pee...even with a hardon and shower at the gym....everything is going down the drain....

Actually, it's not necessarily bad to hold it a little longer than you normally would. It helps strengthen those core muscles which will help prevent inconsonance later in life.

I think "inconsonance" has something to do with WHEEL OF FORTUNE...but, dang, you're handsome! icon_wink.gif

I will normally wait for the toilet stall for more privacy.

Same, I always wait for a stall. I can't have people watching me tinkle even if it's just to check out my goodies.
