Of course it's a heartwarming story. But, uh, the soldier warmed my heart while I stared at his big ol' body.

Honestly, I'm not sure...the dogs apparently were used for fighting and I assumed Afghani, but you never know...

It is a really nice story...

...but it also makes you think...that dog probably got better treatment than many Afghans themselves routinely get even from NATO troops over there.

Not meaning to bash US troops...but even the description of what this hunk gives of how this dog was being treated...sounds better than what was done to that 22 year old Afghan man named Dilawar...whose abuse was detailed in that documentary "Taxi to the Dark Side."

    But yeah...that US soldier...is GORGEOUS!!! icon_smile.gif

Can't believe no one said "I want to be the dog" yet.

Because they know they would never be as loved as as that puppy, it's a very special bond between a man and his dog[s].

Marketing. The Afghanis need marketing. Basically a hunky soldier provides refuge while an Afghani family flees the country. They're reunited at JFK where the hunky soldier fosters them until they get on their feet. Heartwarming, with a hunk thrown in for us. John Cena auditions for the movie part.
