I'll still take the Evo, and you would never find me on a straight way to let you get any bragging rights! icon_razz.gif

LOL. It's not like I can afford the GT-500 either. But if I could, I'd definitely get both. icon_biggrin.gif

Cops are fucking viscous these days. I'd rather invest in a hobby car I can run on the track instead of a fast car I have to drive the speed limit with.

You should have seen it this weekend with the Ohio Highway Patrol. We REALLY don't need one every quarter mile or so. No damn wonder our taxes are so high.

Don't bet on that...the regular GT with just 414 hp hangs with 2011 BMW M3 on the track! This smokin' hot bitch has 662 hp! Over twice what the Evo carries... It'd prolly smoke your Evo...just sayin'

And then think about the possibility if you were keeping the cars for 25 or 30 years or more. The Shelby is likely to be worth 20x or so more than the .... than the .... Evo what?

I'd sure take one if I could.

And for those who think the car is sole factor in being better on the straightaways or twisties, think again. The driver has a lot to do with it, too. icon_smile.gif

Very true, Hugely about the driver.

    Watch Jim Mero

Way back when I taught in the mid 70s we used to practice turn braking in a bunch of loaded up mid 70s giant Ford LTD rental cars, and it’s surprising what you could make even something like that do with the right driver. With today’s power levels however, especially in something like the ZO-6 or ZR-1, you have to know what you’re doing as the power can get you in a whole bunch of trouble.
