He was AGAINST anything gay until recently! What gives? Maybe a smoke screen about his birth certificate... He talks out of both sides of his mouth!

This is the dumbest first post ever.

Obama repealed DADT, passed Hate Crimes legislation and extended benefits to same-sex partners of federal employees, i.e. more than all previous presidents combined.

    And you're a birther.

I think you should find your way back to Free Republic where they'll no doubt stone you for being a cock sucker. (And take SouthBeach with you.)

Hi and welcome to the forums. See you have been a member for a long time. Don't mind the angry left-wingers. They thought the Republicans would be fighting up to a brokered convention and that Obama would win be default. Now that the situation is different, they are upset and panicking and not as welcoming to a new forum contributor as would be considered proper.

His silence is a tacit endorsement. If he had any balls he would tell Trump to shut the fuck up.

lol this thread is so hilarious!

As Christian pointed out, Obama has done more for gay rights than any other president in the past.

    Yet you still complain.

Of course he came out in support for gay rights as a way to get re-elected. Thank God he did, because the Republicans sure wont!

People are tired of seeing us treated as second class citizens and they want equality for all. Thank God the President stands behind us.

Only an idiot would complain about that. But then again, you are in good company with SoCalFitness and Southbeach!

Don't mind him.... as you can see, he has severe social and mental issues.

    * I can't ever recall any of the Conservatives on here "welcoming" a new RJ liberal (of which there are thousands) in such a manner.

You'll find liberals "think" much like this boob:

Mmmm. Chris Hayes is so smart and dreamy.

I did not comment at all about Obama's new found evolution to supporting gay marriage. My comments pertained to Romney not supporting Trump's position on the birth certificate. Guess the details don't matter when you are upset having moved back to Mommy and Daddy's basement.

Welcome to the forums. My reactions to the posts on this thread.

    1. I do not think Obama is using his newly evolved stance on gay marriage as a smokescreen to his birth certificate. He released two versions of his birth certificate.

    2. Obama did use the "gay card" as a political strategy in two ways. More money and to counter Romney's response on gay marriage as "the same as the president's."

The extra effect of the second advantage to this strategy is now Romney is the only one out of the four major party nominees to actively seek to deny civil rights to a group with amending the constitution.

    3. Chris Hayes is a less intelligent, less pretty version of Rachel Maddows. I love Rachel Maddows, but not the smirking goblin version.

I've seen southbeach pull a similar stunt when responding to Chainers. Rather than solely focusing on the issue at hand, you steer the conversation to something in his personal life which has nothing to do with the debate.

    You sir have no class.

The point is Chainers commented on a supposed position of mine on birthers when I never took a position on that. You did not notice that because your personal perspective is quite slanted.

I wouldnt mind SoCalFitness. He is just all jelly because, unlike him, I actually get attention over here on this board.

He is one of those bitter old men who sits in the corner thinking that the world would be a better place if people just listened to him without really realizing that there is a reason we zone him out. Its because he puts the retarded in republican.

As someone who IS on the right more often than not, SoCalFitness disgusts me.

Here is the deal: If your first post on the board is inflammatory and fringe...so fringe to the point that even the large majority of far right wing conservatives face palm at it (see: birthers), you are asking and actually provoking a negative response.

    Inflammatory Post = Inflammatory response.

Well, socalfitness, now that Chainers has made it clear, who's personal perspective is slanted? It looks like yours caused you to jump the gun.

May I add you are a parody unto yourself. I anticipated your Mother Hen response to millhill, and the joke that it became.

The label "birther" is toxic only to the far left. My understanding is the Honolulu newspapers at the time, the Advertiser and the Star-Bulletin, both published announcements on Obama's birth. Therefore, I had assumed he was born in Hawaii, so I wouldn't be considered a birther. However I don't have negative attitudes towards birthers because Obama deliberately kept the birth certificate hidden, I think for political reasons to try and marginalize those who questioned his status. Even though many moderates do not question his birth certificate, I don't think they are as repelled by the notion of a birther as is the far left.

Although to me his birth certificate is legitimate, there is so much about his background that has been hidden, together with an attitude that IMO is not in the best interests of this country, that legitimate questions remain. I would like to see his college transcripts, papers, etc, and I think things may well emerge that his team has wanted to keep hidden.

It has been shown in studies that liberals/Democrats are far less tolerant of others' ideas. This is just yet another example of that. Not sure where Socal has shown himself to be bitter - Chainers on the other hand has effectively noted that he's just looking for attention. I however applaud Obama's decision to announce that he is for gay marriage even if he isn't willing to do anything about it and even if he has done it more for political and financial reasons over reasons of conscience.
