Hey guys! I'm on the lookout for a good quality pre-workout supplement (that doesn't have a lot of sugar added). What's the best one out there? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try Gaspari's SuperPump. Makes me a little hyper, but what else is new.

    Try neurocore

I really liked Jack3d and get the same feeling with neurocore and its cheaper... it does give me some nausea though, jack3d did not

Unless you have a serious reason to avoid sugar, try a few dried dates before your workout. Your body can absorb the fructose quickly, giving you good quick energy.

Be a little cautious on what you get .... the ones with heavy caffeine aren't that great in the long run. If you're using anything with a restrictor it will give you a limp dick....not good. Go for the heavy Nitric vasolator types.... unless of course you're an older guy with some health problems...stay away from anything that spikes your blood pressure too much....aaaahhh. I use the later my blood pressure is super... makes you look good in a tight t too...

Explode makes my heart speed up too much to the point it effects my sets. Currently I'm on neurocore which isn't too bad of you can ignore the awful taste. 1MR is good too.

Amino Energy has been great for me. Not as potent as Jack3D but still good. it gives me energy and gets me through my workout great, but it doesn't give the spike that some people seem to enjoy.

I used dymatize's Xpand in the past. It was good. I've just placed an order for Xtreme Xpand (caffeine free) and will try that as I get it.

When you say "pre-workout supplement" do you then just mean a stimulant to get you a bit high for your workout?

Caffeine is probably your safest option. USA is weird.

I rotate my pre workout every few days because i tend to get ust to them rather quickly. I use Jack3D, Hyper Fx, C4 Extreme, and NO- Xplode 2.0 I prefer the ones that hype me up. The C4 extreme and NO-Xplode 2.0 will make you super itchy but you get used to it. I had great results will all these.

IF you can find it, NDS's ACG3 is amazing. it has 1/3 less DMAA as everything else, has a kryalkaline (PH balanced, not monohydrate) creatine, and a lot of arginine. it does the tingly/itchy thing but its great...

Also- since a lot of the pre-workouts may be discontinued bc of government regulations bc of Dmaa (which I thing is a stupid regulation, but whatevs) make sure you load up...

I liked NO-Xplode but I also found I got used to it fairly quickly. I had better results from naNO-Vapor (MuscleTech). Worst one I've ever tried was Gaspari Super-pump.

My favourite right now, though is Complx5 by Rival-us (a Canadian company!). Only problem is that with the spelling they've chosen (which I can never remember) it's hard to search out online. GNC in Canada started stocking it about a year ago, before that I'd just bought it at fitness expos.

Purple wraath is a favorite of mine. It is a pre-, mid- and/or post-workout supplement. It has no caffeine but a decent amount of B6.

The closest thing to jack3d that I have come across is C4. 1MR used to be great until they reformulated it.

I did some research on this question. The NitricOxide-promotion supplements tend to be laced with a lot of caffeine, artificial crap, sugar and other things that have no place in your body. Have read in several places that L-Arginine has a similar effect, and it can be purchased in bulk powder form, saving lots of $$.

Here is the formula that I just started using. Its too early for me to report on how well it works. But it seems like I have a better workout/recovery on days when I remember to take it. Would appreciate any feedback.

    5g L-Arginine
    5g L-Glutamine -- For faster recovery
mixed with water, tastes bad, plus...
1 pill Turmeric Extract (standardized to 350mg Curcuminoids) -- For inflammation and healing.
