Not impressed with I DREAMED A DREAM - needs more vocal depth (for me).

But - I'm waiting to see the whole film before I pass judgement.

I have to agree with Thorbaugh... I dreamed a dream just doesn't sound as "powerfull" as it should be sung. I don't think anyone can really hold a candle to Ruthie Henshall though.

However, it does look like it could be a good movie. I would be willing to go see this. Looks like they have a pretty good cast.

Yep, already early Oscar buzz for Anne Hathaway. Definitely will be one of the major films of 2012

great trailer. i like the soft voice with no depth. just ran into another voice of a guy cover of titanium. no depth in his voice but def a great rendition. sometimes depth isnt everything.

I'd prefer Leah Salonga's rendition of Fantine "I Dreamed a Dream".

Ooooh. Yay! I am excited now, too.

The non-musical movie they made a few years ago really sucked. They cut out characters like Eponine. I hope this is better.

Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean is brilliant casting. Ann Hathaway as Fantine though I don't know. It looks very good though.

I agree with bad musical, but I disagree with bad book, and I'll reserve opinion on movie until I see it.

    I hated the show.
It's the only musical ever named for its audience.

One of the world's great works of literature, amazingly realized for the stage, looking forward to the movie.

    Oh Christ, welling up already.

It'll be refreshing to see hear it sung with less power and more... frailty. Looks like it'll be an interesting film.

over 60 million people also don't know "a lot" is two words, but it doesn't change that they're wrong.

curious to hear the non-conventional version of the song, something fresh and packs a lot of onscreen emotion and acting rather than onstage versions
