I’m cautiously optimistic that Romney is going to pull this off. I’m giving him 50-50 now instead of 40-60.

Go Mitt! Closet liberal or not.

I hope this is a possible foreshadowing of things to come. Conde´would be a home run brilliant choice as V.P., totally capable of being President if it ever came to that, and I think she would be an incredible V.P. to represent the USA around the world. I know others here would highly disagree -- ask me if I care.

I would of course applaud her being selected to run with Romney, but I think she'd be nuts to leave the quiet peaceful life she has at Stanford. I'm sure mitt would love if she'd do it. I hope she'd be tough enough to be able to follow Cheney.

Condie Rice would be a brilliant choice for V.P. She's got a proven track record both at Stanford and in Washington D.C.

She also has impressive credentials internationally that could make her not only a vital part of a Romney Administration foreign policy, but also make her quite useful on the international stage. I honestly cannot think of a stronger choice for V.P. than Conde Rice --- other than maybe Jon Huntsman who would also be brilliant.
