Madonna takes another dig at GaGa

Apparently to kick of her new tour, Madonna remixed (or had a remix made, I should say) 'Express Yourself' to include a sampling of 'Born This Way'...and at the end of the remixed song she had cut in lines from her song 'Shes Not Me' and shouted "She's Not Me!"

    Homage? Scathing dig?

Definitely wasn't an homage to GaGa in any way...just another way to take an unnecessary dig and perpetuate the idea that the two are in some sort of feud. I think she should just let it go.

Just some friendly competition . . . The Queen letting the Princess know she's not ready to abdicate the throne.

Given that both artists are on Interscope, I do wonder if this is just one big orchestrated ploy for the two to get publicity for their respective tours. It's certainly garnering attention and the media loves a good "feud".

This! I think that they have a lot in common. Madge would not even bother if there was not some kind of deal already struck behind the scenes. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't some kind of build up to a duo.

Heck, Madge did one with Brit-Brit.

It's a compliment that Madonna's singing a few lines from Born This Way.

Don't see the harm personally and I'm sure Gaga agree's that she's not Madonna.

Madonna doesn't need Gaga's permission to use those lyrics in her show. Now when the eventual DVD release comes out she may have to then and Gaga will get some royalties.

It's good publicity for both of them in any event and I agree with the above posters that Interscope is behind this all the way.

I think she's getting more shit from people for all the violence in the show, especially considering the first gig was supposed to be a concert for peace and she comes out wielding this baby icon_eek.gif

I will say the only song that I'm not a huge fan of is the second track when Madonna decides to get all Ghetto on us with Bang Bang,, put a bullet through yer head.. Die like a Bitch... not my favorite Madge lines of all time.
Almost as much fun as listening to "Act of Contrition" for me.
What can I say,, I prefer her positive UP Energy music.

Really ? I think it's a show highlight. It's very theatrical and well done.

"so after the opening number, she goes on to sing “revolver” and “bang bang,” the latter of which takes place in this living room set where people keep on breaking in and getting shot on the downbeat, even when it’s clear most people shoot intruders right away, regardless of if it fits musically. these two numbers along with a few others all featured guns and fighting and people dying…. the irony of this is that halfway through the show, madge decides to speak to audience about why she decided to open her world tour in tel aviv, and she even dropped the p-word, but didn’t come close to advocating for a free palestine. she told us there’s a conflict in the middle east that we’re probably not aware about and that peace is important and that we need to start treating each other with respect and dignity. hearing her tell people to treat others with respect was a bit of the pot calling the kettle a stuck-up british wannabe who will throw acid in your face if your look at her when she’s not talking to you. at least when lady gaga preaches, she gets all weepy, and you genuinely feel as if you’re in the church for sins o’ the flesh. i’m sure as soon as everyone left, the middle east crisis was solved. her next show will be in jericho."
