its an AWESOME idea...

it is a GREAT workout and you will never experience the same kind of cameraderie as you do with guys you wrestle with.

(you're gonna be sore as fuck, though)

Wrestling is great fun -

But these days I prefer Karate and Judo -

Throwing other people, and getting thrown is a blast.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm really keen to try it (been rowing most of my life and I'm ready for a change/addition). Have a friend who can teach me the basics but unfortunately there's no wrestling club in Cambridge (UK), as far as I know. From the looks of it it's an awesome sport just was wondering if I'm not too old to learn new tricks :-)

No way are you too old. I only took it up 4 years ago and have had so much fun since.

There's a club in London that I know of. I've never been to it because of the distance and costs involved but apparently it is good.

I have met and wrestled guys through various wrestling sites, some of whom have become good friends that I meet regularly.
