.... and not surprisingly their readers remain some of the least informed and most gullible.

According to the county bureau of elections, Steve Smith, 42, was elected to the Republican committee with one write-in vote from the April 24 primary election. Mr. Smith is the regional coordinator of Keystone United, which was known until 2009 as the Keystone State Skinheads.

Mr. Smith announced his election to the GOP committee on an Internet forum called White News Now. He posted a photo of his election certificate, which includes signatures from the five members of the county board of elections.

The committee elects two members from each of the 189 voting precincts in the county. Mr. Smith and George C. Carmean, who received two write-in votes, were elected from Pittston's 4th Ward. No one was named on the ballot as a candidate from that ward.

Efforts to reach Mr. Smith were unsuccessful. A woman left a phone message asking a reporter not to go to Mr. Smith's home again.

The county Republican committee has six districts. A 3rd District chairman will be selected at the 3th District convention at 8 p.m. Monday at Bar on Oak Street in Pittston Twp.

"You see some people at the convention, and then you never hear from them again," Mr. Kolankoski said, adding neither he nor anyone he knows knows Mr. Smith.

The county convention has not yet been scheduled but will be after the 4th District convention on June 12.

This becomes quite obvious - especially as they expose themselves as the idiots they claim Republicans or teapartiers are.

Apparently no. There was at least one other district as referenced in the article that notes the committee position went unfilled. But I mean, it's some random committee at a local level so all things considered, the article from HuffPo is ridiculous.

If this wa the only example, fine. But it's clear that racists feel comfortable in the GOP.

As well, that giant point to consider:

Why did no one else run? Where is the outrage from the Conservs there that this idiot got in?

That he was accepted in with one vote, and that one vote is considered acceptable for winning is hilarious.

Yeah except the Nazi party is a socialist one. So um no, doesn't apply. And further, as noted, there were other committee positions that went unfilled. They should probably just do away with the positions - which again, is some random committee apparently with powers that are not immediately apparent. It's a committee of 6 for the 6 districts according to the local article.

So again, no, not a giant point, just your attempt to make a mountain out of a mole hill. There's no doubt this is embarrassing to the Republican party of the area, but I think it's even more telling and embarrassing to the liberals who have tried to make this a rallying cry that the Republicans must therefore be racist without also pointing out how many votes this guy got.
