Hah, that is funny. I hate when people get so oversensitive about stuff. There is nothing homophobic about that pic, it is just plain funny. Someone needs to quit bitching about stuff like that and go work on something like DADT.

I agree, its not slander against licking balls. which we all know is so very righticon_biggrin.gif. in context that is not something you want to have happen to you on the court. It may not be right, but it is very funny.

You all have internalized homophobia so much that you laugh without realizing it.

If that were a man's face in a woman's crotch, they wouldnt say it was wrong.

If it was a male basketball player getting jumped over by a female basketball player and getting knocked over because she was able to jump so high and knock him over in a collision of her crotch to his face, I certainly don't think it would be right either.

Personally, I think anyone (or either gender) jamming their crotch in my face under any circumstance without my explicit expression of willingness is indeed, so wrong.

The ad is based on homophobia. It generates it reaction more from a dude's crotch in a dude's face than anything else. It still perpetuates the homophobic idea that a man shouldnt enjoy another man.

Apparently, someone didn't get the point of the Ad.

    I got it.

And there is nothing homophobic about it.

    Prime case of nitpicking. icon_rolleyes.gif

They shouldn't. Not on the basketball court, the game would never finish!

Well yeah if you look at it that way. But on the basketball court, if this happens then you have just done something wrong game wise to be dunked on like that. It means you did not have the skill needed to stop this from happening and you fell short and balls in your face are the consequences

    Holding Foul-definition
Holding is personal contact foul with an opponent that interferes with his freedom of movement. This holding can occur with any part of the body.

Now I don't know about you, but when some guy has my cock in their mouth .. my movement is restricted.

How is this not homophobic? The intent and product was to reference oral sex between men. That is why it is a right/wrong dichotomy rather than a you-are-good-at-basketball/you-suck. If they were going for a "ahha! I have jumped over you" theme they wouldn't have stuck the guys face in the others crotch. If they left it at that, then no, it wouldn't be homophobic. But stamping "That ain't right" over the whole thing says "gay oral sex is wrong" and not "having someone jump over you in a game of basketball is wrong", because there is nothing right/wrong about basketball skills.

BECAUSE it is a basketball game! lol So if the guys ass was over the others face and it said "WRONG" would that be homophobia?

My take on it is, is that the ones who are offended by it, don't play sports. Who gives a shit. I found the ad actually funny and if some of you overly sensitive nancy's were actual athletes, you'd get it also.

Isn't this the EXACT same kind of shit that we accuse midwest bible bangers of? Being overly sensitive? When it comes right down to it, some of you have more in common with "them" than you do with "us".

well, I think that pretty much proves the homophobic reaction elicited by the ad.

    Case closed.

And I am not sure calling members of RJ "nancy's" is within the rules of the site. You might want to apologize real quick.

"Our most important rule: Do not use any hate language in forums. In particular, hate language referring to sex, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation will get you banned from the site. You can strongly disagree with others, but resulting to the use of hate language is not appropriate."

    Yes.

    Obviously that wouldn't be homophobic.

Look, I get that there is a lot of body contact in basketball, and that is fine. But the ad isn't about what goes on in a game. The ad pantomimes a sex act and then makes a value statement about that sex act. If the ad were about what goes on in a game they could have chosen a million different shots that are not sexually suggestive.

Couldn't the same be said on the other side about that ad from the UK for the mayonnaise? They pulled it after getting complaints.
