Big thumbs up. I may have even liked it better than the Avengers. Charlize Theron ate up the screen as the Queen. Kristen Stewart who people seemed to hate did an okay job. Hemsorth solid again in an action role. Love the darker edge to this movie. Story was great, scenery, lots of action scenes. The movie made $56 million overperforming by about $20 million. I think males will see this and the movie will have legs.

charlize did an amazing performance, but the plot was very dull. It dragged on way more than it should have. the art direction was amazing, but kristen stewart's performance was lackluster as always.

overall, i thought it was a very long and pretty music video.....

I thought it was okay - nothing spectacular - had nice bells and whistles but really didn't get me emotionally involved - Charlize Theron did a fine job..though there were moments I felt she went over the top and didn't come off as sincere - her anger and madness was better portrayed when it was subtle - her "scream face" didn't do it for me...

It was fun. They could have cut everything with the queen's brother in favor of more plot exposition for the rest of the characters.

I thought it was great. Yes, Theron completely owned the movie and I thought she took it to another level. The effects and visuals were stellar. The film smartly doesn't hark too much on the character of Snow White (cause, let's be honest, there's not much to her), so they keep the focus on the story which was a very smart decision.
I also LOVED how they didn't emphasis the love triangle. It was there, but they let the audience figure it out, which was so refreshing, instead of having corny, romantic scenes shoved down our throat (are you listening, The Hunger Games?).

thanks for posting that song....it really really was perfectly used for that one scene

also echo the comments about not focusing on Snow White too much nor the love triangle. Thats why I do not think Stewart did a bad job. I really do not get the hatred toward her from alot of people who refuse to see this movie because she is in it. She is in it buts its not about her if that makes any sense. The story carries the movie. It was also refreshing how this movie did not pander to throwing in a lot of humor which we tend to get from the american done superhero movies especially Iron Man, liked seeing it just played straight up dark and serious

I would watch it but I refuse to go see any movie with Kristen Stewart in it. I absolutely abhor the girl.

I know what you mean icon_sad.gif
I was so sure that the huntsman was gonna announce that he's gay when Snow White asks for his hand in marriage. Then he and William would hook up and they'd make a sequel called "William and the Huntsman" (which I'd so go see).
    Disappointed that it never happened.

Subpar movie -- overacting and somewhat boring. Still not impressed with Kristen Stewart... Yawn!

"Borrowing" scenes from Princess Mononoke was kind of cheap. In fact, the whole movie is hacked and glued together with so many genres and styles that in the end this version just feel odd.

Wait for it to be released at your nearest cable channel....

You're welcome man! I spend some good time looking for it. The scene was amazing, song did most of the work.

Agreed! A movie that focused on the plot, instead of simply a few characters. Now that I think about it, it was a great thing they didn't focus on the love triangle, yeah.

Kristen did a good job, a friend of mine said she hated her part - I'm guessing she was brainwashed by the public opinion. I like her facial expression which seem to get to people's nerves. She is like that since "Panic Room", which I think only makes her an even better actress!

The movie was good (not great). It definitely had a dark, contemporary twist on an old classic. The action was good as well.

Hated it. It was a very basic and boring story line. Nothing new was added besides the Queen's brother and the cgi scene with the fairies. Charlize Theron was absolutely incredible in acting and looks...wow I loved seeing her. Kristen Stewart was a dull mess and was a horrible choice for the role. Better actresses who could have pulled it off are Megan Fox, Emily Blunt, or Scarlett Johannsen. Ugh, that movie was not worth my time....

Have yet to see. I always liked the demented "Snow White - A Tale of Terror" with Sigourney Weaver:

I thought it was amazing. Charlize made this movie. KStew I believe had a great performance in comparison to her Twilight movies. A+ all around.
