So yesterday she invited me at her place. We were catching up because it was a while that we spoke, after we were done eating I told her we need to talk!

She immidiatly noticed I was serious and without overthinking it I said "I'm gay!" She said "nice try" I repeated "I'm gay!" she said "I don't believe you, you're testing me to see my reaction" I said "Well you're not making this easy, I don't know how to prove it to you but i'm gay" after few times denying I told her "your sister (who used to be my best friend) knows and she outed me to my nephew so he knows too, and now my heart is racing like hell, because I don't want you to react the same way your sister and my nephew did" She stood up and walked to where I was sitting and hugged me and telling me "I'm sorry you had to hide it from me for 10years, my opinion about you will never change!"

so she asked me some questions ofcourse, I explained her about my past and all.. In the end she said "I completly accept you no matter what and this wont change a thing about how I feel for you I just have to get used to the idea because you don't act gay at all" She also said that she is very happy that I told her and she can finally feel more comfortable around me

I told her if she feels the need to talk to someone else about this she has my approval to talk with this girl she knows (I only saw that girl ones and she was really nice + her best friend is also gay)

Its such a huge relief that finally someone knows my true nature and accepts me no matter what! I just felt to share a bit of my happiness with you guys!

It's such a huge relief! Congratz

At least you were straight forward about it .. I used a line from my friend when I first came out. She was talking about her sister's gay neighboors, who apparently are rude and smelly. So I decided to just let it go and say "Well, but I'm polite and smell nice..." -she replied "Well, but you're not gay" and I didn't said anything, just stood there looking at her - awkward silence, haha. But it was really ok, didn't change a thing.

A great story and good news. With so much anti-gay sentiment being whipped up at the moment it's great to have a guy like yourself come out: and it feels great doesn't it!

Wow thank you all so much!
It's indeed a great feeling and a huge relief, she texted me earlier today that her colleges noticed that she was in a very happy mood and she replied to them that she was reborn, lol I love her so much!

@Splendidus
Thx for sharing, so funny! lol
I knew if I wasn't straightforward it would take her longer to believe me + I was nervous lol

again thank you all I enjoyed reading every single post!

I was quite nervous as well, I started shaking after dropping the bomb, never had happened before - ugh, I'm so gay (joking, joking .. easy guys).

But yeah, the idea of rejection can hit you like a truck sometimes. Glad it worked out!

Congrats HawkEyez. I've often said, doesn't matter how old you are, it's a hard thing to do but, more importantly, it's a sign of accepting who you are and realizing you're OK.

We often create fear within ourselves as to how others will react and that builds a wall that is harder to remove. I've noticed that most guys find that the wall was totally unnecessary as those who care and love you don't really mind at all. I'm glad that was your experience. Good luck!

Hawkeyez, I liked reading this. Glad you had a friend of ten years who you could be yourself with. I smiled when I read the part about how happy you are.
