There's even a website for men who have sex with other men, but are not gay.

Perhaps someone else has covered this one on another thread...but this is my first time seeing this specific body of research

Sorry, guys, you'll have to copy and paste the link...for some reason, this thing won't pick it up as a URL

    http://www.straightguise.com/

(Similarly, there are more and more articles cropping up about men who are "straight but not narrow". One from thegoodmenproject.com comes to mind. This is just a link to thegoodmenproject, not the actual article).

No, I am not obsessed with straight guys. But I am obsessed with simply knowing that's happening in the world.

So RealGeniuses, what do you think? Ground-breaking new research? Or a whole other level of denial?

    Talk to me.

I think in the future, there will be no more use of "gay", "straight" or "bi"... it will really have no meaning.

The word "bi" lost its meaning already once "gay for pay" started being used feverishly in the porn industry.

People are starting to see you more for HOW you act in public than WHO you are on the inside.

Which is fine for me... 99.9 % of the time people think i'm straight lol.. I guess it would be an advantage to me if I wanted to live in the middle east.

EDIT: Essentially, it comes down to the idea that there is no reason for you to tell someone you are gay (unless he is going to be your future bf) because no one cares anymore - since people know that there are "straight" men who have sex with men.

Sounds like a knockoff of the g0y thing...nothing but a bunch of homophobes who can't handle being themselves.

    Exactly this.

EDIT: It's these "homophobes" that are essentially changing the way the community at large views the meaning behind the word gay, bi, straight.

Yep. In most of society, the word "gay" has more to do with mannerisms than sexuality. Lots of guys call me "the straight gay guy" simply because they don't perceive my mannerisms to be "gay." And yes, I call them out on it when they say that, and let them know it's bullshit.

Awesome option for Kinsey 1 and 2 (incidentally having sex with men 1-6 times a year ... I experienced Kinsey 1, and Kinsey 2: 6-12 times/ year)

Too bad it's not a social site.

I thought this was about those nifty g0y guys... Those clever little butt monkeys who replace their identity as gay with a misspelling that includes a zero in it. They're so neat.

In some large pockets of my community, there's an unspoken understanding that straight people are in the minority. Last 3 places I worked had more gay guys than straight - at random! That's counting complete closet cases.
There's just too much sexual diversity for things to be otherwise.

But you're not allowed to be open about it.

    What a wonderful world.
