Would you want to know when it all ends so you would be able to do the things you always wanted to do and tell the people you love how much they mean to you? Or would you want it to be a mystery like it currently is, and never have the chance to say goodbye to the ones you loveicon_question.gificon_question.gificon_question.gif

Part of what makes living worth the while is knowing that I will die, but not knowing when.

    Surprise! You're dead!

No thanks. Surprise me. I already feel like I waste a lot of time, I don't need to know exactly how much...

I'd want to know. I hate not having control over my life. Knowing when I was going to die would allow for proper planning.

Like what? Having clean underwear on? Making sure we throw the old Chinese food take away containers out from the fridge? Deleting the pornz?

You know we "release" all of what is in us when we go. icon_lol.gif

Do all of whatever you think of NOW. Don't wait! You just might die at any time!

quit worrying about whether you told everyone you love them or not and if your bucket list is finished.....go do it because it is important to you.... like NIKE says ....JUST DO IT!
Sort of like taking your favorite roller coaster at an amusement park......the end comes too soon.....

No, don't wanna know. I already control my life to the degree it can be controlled.

Like others on here I've lost and nearly lost loved ones.

There is not one person that I love that doesn't hear it every time we leave each other. The only unfinished business in my life, is seeing my son become independent & seeing him find the right girl (or guy) to have a nice family.

Other than that, I would like to spend more time around my loved ones. Like the saying goes, live like you are dying.

Maybe. Maybe it's a waste of time preparing for retirement. Maybe it's a waste of time investing money long term. Plus, you could have your own memorial service and see what everybody has to say about you.

I'd like to know. Because it will let me know if I should trim down my marry, fuck, kill list. Or add more to it. icon_lol.gif

Def do not want to know. Its not like I have to money to go out and do the things I want to do. As long as I am with family and friends I'll be fine.

I don't believe the people saying "no"

There is so much preparation you could do if you knew you were going to die. Logistically it's much better.

Your loved ones would be given warning as well, which would soften the blow for them. They could arrange their lives by what is best for them A.D. "ie not move to another city with you for your job if you're going to die after 2 weeks".

I'd love to know the exact date. But I will probably die at the time I choose, so it will probably be that way for me anyway, barring some kind of accident.

Wowzer SKINNYBITCH, old soul you have (as would say Master Yoda of StarWars ) . Tibetan monks almost all know their death. In fact many of them plan the date and how they leave this plane of existence. Many fast until they wither away. Interestingly after fasting for 7 days, death and life are almost indistinguishable. I experienced this. But many Tibetan monks ofter themselves to greater cause, right now (see recent news below) it's freedom and liberation from goddam China occupation ( if enough souls curse China, the scale will eventually tip)

When starved nearly to death, one experiences euphoria I believe, which might be what you're talking about.

I'm going to take a less drawn-out approach!
So when is the Dalai going to die?

Really not interested in knowing... I think most people would become too focussed on their expiry date and forget TO LIVE...
