So I was at this party and everyone was having fun and what not. Then one of my friends friends who I have met maybe one other time says, "Can I ask you a question?" (im like ugh...ugh) Im like, -- -"sure"
    -"Are you gay?"
-"Yeah...but...why does it matter if I am?"
-"I'm just asking because I have gay friends and you act like them"
-"Ok...but why would you care if I was?"
    -"Just because I know"
    -"Ok so who cares...wh..why?"
-"Because I just know......I mean you can tell I'm straight right?
-"Um I don't give a fuck what you are...I could care less"

Then my friend says something to me and whats his face walks away. I'm like...why are people so rude have they never seen mean girls..."you can't just ask people why they are white" I don't know what happend but...I'm going to wear a fucking rainbow t shirt that says "You wanna know something I SUCK COCK"...so people will stop asking...shit.

But then I was like meh I probably made a bigger deal that it was so technically I'm kind of a hypocrite..if it's not a big deal why did I make it one...maybe i just got fed up...but it did annoy me and I was offended...I mean its none of your business...then I calmed down. I went to him and apologized that I overreacted...and that's it.

The other guy was WAAAAAAAAY out of line.

I would have looked at him as if he was a moron (which he was), and said, "Of course I'm gay !" And, I would have shown the appropriate facial expression to go with it.

    Well, yeah.
While it wouldn't affect this guy's life one way or another, you turned it into an issue.
Some people like to put things in boxes. In his mind this guy has to either give you one label or another or he'll be confused.

It is suspicious that he asked you if you thought he's straight.

But seriously I think you did overreact a little. After she asked you should have just answered with a 'yes I am' and walked away. It kinda made it seem like you're not comfortable with yourself and you felt like she was judging you.

The whole line of questioning sucked water. You were absolutely in the right, the idea, what a dumb head...

I generally advocate action that won't make waves, but what he did was totally out of line. Being blunt back.. was totally appropriate...

Well, on the one hand he was showing a bit of ignorance, but then again, you missed out on the opportunity to polity correct him of his misconceptions.
Sometimes people are naive and just ask honest (but still silly) questions.

I think it is very big of you to apologise. You can't build bridges with fire.

    I think so.
With those girls like this , the calmer the funnier.
When being asked if I were gay or not , I just "yes" and stayed calm, then I just watch the show because they couldnt affect me.

I agree the question was inappropriate. Its like asking a female if she is pregnant. But if the proverbial female were not pregnant, she should tactfully say no im not or thats not something i feel is any of your business knowing. Any outburst just makes u look silly even if the question is not appropriate.

    In my opinion you overreacted.

Everyone that ask you might have there own reason. It could be to ask questions to become more familiar with the lifestyle or he could have been gay himself and was attracted to you. Just because someone ask if your gay, does not mean they are trying to offend you.

The guy was expressing to you that he's gay friendly. That you are among friends. That was a terrible thing for him to do. Stupid str8 people! At least when they bully us, we know where they stand.

Yeah, maybe a little over-reaction. He was probably just (re)calibrating his gaydar. It's hard for a straight person to use one, ya know.

Did you learn nothing from yesterday's posts? You should have taken him to an empty bedroom, had him take off his clothes and lie facedown on the bed and given him a massage.

No you didn't.. actually i would have done worse... I would called them an Idiot to their face.. asked them what their IQ was.. asked them why are you asking me a question you know the answer to and then you are telling me you don't care? I would have broken them down. I would have them if they have any Spectrum disorder..and then went on to treat them like I Am Sam the entire night.

My biggest pet peeve is redundancy and people who know better and do and say stupid shit for the helluvit.

Some people are idiots..and there are times where you can't just smile and move on... You have to let them know that they are being redundant with you. They make no sense. You have to embarrass them and then let it go..so hopefully later they do not ask other people pointless stupid vexing questions.
