So I think unless you've been living under a rock these last few days, everyone has heard about Luka Magnotta. Although it seems like each generation has had its emblematic psycho killer, this one seems particularly twisted.

Many people seem to think Luka Magnotta is in fact the reflection of the wrongs within our present society.

Sure there's obsession with fame, which, in my opinion stems from something deeper in human nature although it's been exacerbated with the internet and the reality show culture.

But a lot of people have pointed out maybe it's the result of too much freedom. This generation may lost all sense of moral boundaries, with its exposure to all sorts of porn, of violence through the internet.

But then , unless we want a police state, we can't really stop this trend from growing.

So what do you think , is the evolution of technology/ morals throughout the last decades to blame ??

No, this is a psychopath facing life in jail for murder. Why he did it, what his secret motivations are will never be known, because just like everyone else, you never get to know anyone's secret motivations in real life. This killer is a sick fuck, we have plenty of them, there are something like 7 billion people over populating this planet, there are going to be way too many sick fucks walking around.

People like this are not new. They've been around since the beginning of time. This is just the first time they've been able to film it and put it directly in the laps of millions of people.

This. And, perhaps this specimen can be studied in captivity by forensic psychiatrists in order to better understand the physical, cognitive, and environmental factors which breed psychopathy.

Perhaps in the future this may be a way to screen for, detect, and provide treatment for those who are at higher-risk for psychopathy.

It almost seems like this is our Karma for all the years we've allowed animal cruelty to happen with only a slap on the wrist. Now it's apparent that people who abuse animals often go on to do it to humans, and Luka Magnotta just adds more proof to this fact.

I know this guy shares a bunch of common traits witth all other psychopaths, but there is something about his narcissism. He almost didn't hide at all, his videos were all over the internet, he took great pride in what he did.

By theway, the page on which he posted the video of the murders apparently had 600 fans.

The animal abuse is clearly a signal. And, if caught early can be an opportunity for an intervention.

And, in this case the combination of the narcissism AND the body dysmorphic disorder symptoms were both evident and could have been linked with the animal abuse to form the picture of a person coming into full psychopathology.
