Mine was "meh". Expected too much.

Lots of plot holes and bits that don't make sense. Not enough aliens.

Still, an okay-ish 2 and half hours

For me the most interesting aspects of the alien franchise is the moments up until shit hit's the fan and it turns into a horror film, so I enjoyed how this one filled out the universe a bit more. I thought it raised some interesting questions, but unfortunately gave disappointing answers.
Fassbender and Theron were awesome and I loved their dynamic, but some of the other character motivations felt like gaping plot holes... not sure how spoiler free I should keep my opinions.

For me, this is one of those movies that benefits from selective mental editing.

It WAS good - but I think you have to be an Alien fan to fully appreciate it. Its a well-made film though. Is it true that there's going to be a Prometheus sequel?

I'll be watching it soon, but only for the CGI candy.

^^ There where actually very few moments where I though "Hmm, good CGI", not that it wasn't good, it just didn't pull me out of the story.

I really enjoyed it and I'm a big fan of the Alien series. Theron and Fassbender were on top form and the Alien back story/creation was really interesting. I thought they did it in an intelligent way and linked it well to the human side of the story.

The SFX were also top notch. A really beautiful looking film.

I wasn't too fond of Naomi Rapace as the lead though. She had a Ripley look about her but she didn't cut it for me as a badass like Weaver did in the original films. I would have cast Theron in that role instead.

I want to see it. Logan Marshall Green is so cute, sexy. And it is uncanny how much he looks like Tom Hardy (Tom Hardy has fuller lips).

Edited: I thought for the longest time that it was Tom Hardy in this movie even though I watched a couple of Dark Blue episodes years ago.
