I have never'd like the store. I always thought it was just one of those stores just trying to attract people by flashing the models in front. I have never bought anything from there nor will I ever.

I actually yelled at one of the models when he didn't have a shirt on one time, icon_lol.gif

I like to walk into an A&F store, shout "OVER!!" and then walk out.

    Try it, it's fun!

The only thing I have against A&F are their ridiculous prices (not that I've bought anything from them in about 10 years). I do think the sexy ads go a bit far, esp if it's bordering on child porn, but so many companies use sex in one way or another to sex their products.

This latest issue from Italy is interesting and the outcome will be even more interesting. In one sense, I'm thinking, "how dare they". In another sense, I'm thinking, "I don't see anything wrong with it".

I bought several pair of A&F convertible cargo pants/shorts...back in 1999. They've lasted this long and are very useful on hikes and other trips where packing less clothes is better.

    I haven't bought anything A&F since then.

I personally don't care for A&F's style, but more importantly, their stores are always so dark! Can't see shit when shopping around.

I understand it's illegal to even enter A&F if you're over 40 years old, so I steer clear. icon_smile.gif

I like the store at Stanford here in Palo Alto. I'm not wearing that kind of clothes anymore but if I was a student (in my late teens - twenties) I'd get some of my clothes there. I like the look of their casual clothes, and all of the staff I've encountered are cool and friendly.

I laughed at the allegation in the story where one of the former employees claims he was asked to drop down and do ten pushups for some infraction of store rules. Ten pushups? Not even a warmup. Not a bad punishment IMO!

All the stuff is over priced and kind of ugly .. there isn't anything in that store that is unique enough to warrant the price tag.

Really 10 push ups or sit ups for girls? That's the big hullabaloo?

It's not like the people who work there know what they're signing up for when they apply.icon_rolleyes.gif

I swear, they must empty like 100 cologne bottles at once in that place..

About ten years ago I was in an actual suburban mall for the first time in over a decade, saw a crowded A&F store and to satisfy my curiosity about A&F went in to see what all the fuss was about. Saw long lines of tweens and moms at the registers and scores of age-inappropriate gay men perusing the stacks of overpriced retro seventies clothing even uglier than the originals, poorly cobbled together in the Mariana Islands.

A&F always came off to me as the Gay Nazi clothing company. Makes me cringe.

No, that would be Hugo Boss. They designed the Nazi uniforms after all.

The overdosing of cologne has a purpose.

It is also an extremely lethal bug killer.

And sadly, it's so bad that I can navigate my way around the supermall by the cologne coming from the Aberstinkie & Stench store.

I used to work for A&F when I was 17/18 for almost a year. I was one of the few minorities that were "models" or the people that work the sales floor, fixing stuff, etc etc.

To the comment about the cologne- funny stuff, we had to spray the store every 30 mins. They would call whoever's job it was the "spritzer" haha, it was a great job cause you would just go around the store and just hang with your friends.

It's a really fun environment when you're young.. really fun parties and great co workers. Worked there for almost a year and received mailings on 2 class action lawsuits about compensation. A lot of people love to sue A&F.

Met Mike Jeffires in person to when he visited my store.. just as plastic surgeried out like you see in the pics
