    http://caledonia.patch.com/articles/lehman-declares-victory-in-recall#c

At 2 AM last night Democrat John Lehman was declared the winner of the recall election for the 21st Senate District seat in WI - defeating Repub Van Wanggaard.

The win means that the Repubs have lost control of the WI state legislature - and the Democrats will be in control of the WI state legislature.

Scott Walker may remain the Governor of WI - but he will no longer be able to ram legislation through the WI legislature.
He will be forced to work with the DEMOCRATIC majority in a bipartisan manner - whether he or the WI state Repubs like it or not.

The Repubs and the big $$$$$$$$$$$ dirty Repub Super PACs may have managed to keep Walker in the Governor's mansion - but the Democrats have won control of the WI state legislature - and Walker and his corrupt big money Repub benefactors are going to be blocked from ramming through any more union-busting legislation.

So while the Repubs may gave gone bananas last night thinking that they'd won a huge victory - in the harsh light of day it's clear that THE BIG WINNER IN THE WI ELECTION WAS THE WI DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

I disagree. I think Republicans are the big winner. Thus, Romney and the Republicans have nothing to worry about in November: Wisconsin and states like it are in the bag for Romney. No need to for Republicans to expend time and energy on and in those states; they can and should rest easy when it is so painfully obvious that Obama's goose is cooked and everybody who voted for Walker is going to vote for Romney.

    LOL
    You're right.
The Repubs won "AGAIN" last night - and they'll win "AGAIN" this November.

In fact the Repubs can even rest easy and sit this election out if they want to!
Because like Southbeach says - the Repubs just keep winning "AGAIN" and "AGAIN" and "AGAIN"!

Precisely. The evidence for this is painfully clear for anybody who wants to see it. Walker's win has paved the way for Romney. No way Obama takes Wisconsin.

Guess Obama will just have to focus his efforts elsewhere, since he is running behind Romney so badly in Wisconsin.

Let me explain something to you my friend rickrick91 and see if you can understand this in simole terms. The senate seat that the democraps won did in fact give them a 17-16 majority and they do control the senate. We have lost a great senator for 2 years now. But what you fail to realize is that when the legislature was in session the republicans had the majority in both the senate and assembly. That is when all these reforms were passed. What you also fail to realize is the the democrats have no power because the legislature doesnt reconvein untill January 2013, so there are no sessions untill then. There is an election in November in which 16 state senate seats will be up for grabs, the majority of them are democratic seats because many of the republicans have faced recalls and won. The Senate and Assembly passed a re-districting map of the state before they recessed for the summer and the democrats are expected to lose at least 3 of those seats. my prediction( usually right) after the November election for the Wi senate (R)18 (D)15

Walker has pledged to work with the dems if they are willing but yes, he will still be able to ram through his legislation if he so desires whether the dems like it or not because the republicans will have regained control before the new session starts in Jan.

With this election taxpayers have said loud and clear that he has a mandate. Gov(R), assembly(R), senate(R) AND WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THE REFORMS COMMING NEXT !!

Nice try but another EPIC FAIL on your part....BIG WINNER IN WISCONSIN IS THE TAXPAYERS

    LOL

    NIce try!

However - in "simple terms" the Repubs are now the MINORITY party in the WI state legislature.
They will have to gain seats in order to win it back.

FYI - your prediction that they're definitely going to win back control is highly suspect - since as of last night you were shrieking about how the Repubs had won a huge mandate from the voters of WI.
TODAY however when the results have all come in - the Repubs are the big losers.
Your predictions are becoming as much of a joke as Crazyjock's!

The Repubs managed to hold on to control of the Governor's mansion - BUT THEY LOST CONTROL OF THE STATE LEGISLATURE.

No matter how you and your fellow Repubs try to SPIN it - in "simple terms" - the WI Repubs lost.

And also FYI - we all know how bitterly disappointed you are at the fact that the Repubs LOST control of the WI state legislature.
Trying to cover up your disappointment is another "EPIC FAIL on your part"!

lol, you dont understand....the seat is meaningless untill January, the dems could have all 33 seats and it wouldnt matter. I am telling you that how the maps were re-districted the fall election will spell disaster for the dems here again. 3 of thier senate seats are now majority republican districts.

You can blather all you want on how its a loss if it comforts you and makes you happy. The mandate wont start untill Jan when the new representatives are sworn it. Maybe some of your liberal friends can explain it to you better than i can seeing they know what i'm talking about.

Time to pass more reforms to really make our state great...here's a hint.... taxes, education and regulation. ooopps I let my insider secret out again

I've taken note of your predictions re: Obama's chances in WI and who will win control in WI.
I'll be reminding you about what you predicted next November!

What you don't understand is that the Repubs aren't going to have a 10 to 1 $$$$$$$$ advantage anymore!

Plus Democratic turnout is also always higher in presidential elections than it is in midterm or recall elections.

Seriously, should you be calling anybody crazy considering that you are touting a seat won in an out-of-session state legislature as a big win?

And you people keep telling us you are the intelligent ones, all I can say is wow! I won't be as insulting as you are and hazard a guess at your obvious mental state, I'll just call you delusional.

You Repubs were as giddy as schoolgirls when you thought you won all the "out-of-session" seats last night.
Now when you realize that you lost one of them (and lost control of the WI state legislature!) - winning "out-of-session" seats is suddenly no biggie!

    LMAO
    Nice try!

    You lost.
Last night's big victory went up in smoke.

Do you think about what you say, or are you so blinded by your hate that you can't possibly stop yourself from making a fool out of your self?

A seat in an out-of-session state legislature in an no biggie", but knock yourself out gloating over your "biggie" win.

You might want to seek help, obviously you're a few bricks short of a full load !
