What if Walker "overspends" any political capital he believes he has won?

It's very interesting that the exit polls found that a small majority of those who went to the polls actually SUPPORT public employee unions.

It seems that the main reason Walker managed to keep his job is because WI voters disapproved of the whole idea of pushing a recall election.

Wisconsinites are by nature "nice" - and maybe they thought trying to recall Walker wasn't very "nice".

Well, he does have a tremendous amount of political capital. That's why they voted the way they did. To give him the capital to continue to cut spending, give members of state employees a choice NOT to stay in the union; which 35% got out. He did not raise taxes, has now a surplus rather than a 3.6 billion dollar debt he inherited. Property taxes have stabilized or came down. The tax payer wins. Also he did not layoff one state employee to do all this. Unions stand for corruptness and power. Now the public sector is in line with the private sector as far as benefits as a whole. We as a state and nation have to get rid of thus massive debt for our kids and grand kids sake. Now other government will b embolden to make the choice to rein in spending and get their fiscal house in order. Mr President r u watching???

Let's stop talking about Wisconsin until football season, OK? I mean, seriously, this is a flyover state that has zero anything going for it. Enough already.

I travel to Wisconsin a lot, and this is true. To me, it's like North Dakota- you only go to college there.

Not true! I deliberately drove North from Chicago across the state line to say that I've been to Wisconsin. I went to The Brat Stop in Kenosha. Yum!

Don't give me attitude, sir. The upper midwest sucks in general- I've stated that countless times in this forum, and Milwaukee's existance completely slipped my mind. My bad. Minneapolis, Chicago and Milwaukee are a step up from what I said, but even they get dull at times. Maybe not chicago, but Minneapolis for sure.

As long as your disdain for the entire Upper Midwest is equally distributed, I'll let it slide.

i'll be a badger starting this fall. this recall stuff is big news now, and will even give Romney a small bump. it'll be old news by Nov, and have little impact on the presidential election.

Do not let the Peoples Republic of Madison or the cooky liberal lefties that run the camp there influence your independent thinking. Madison Wi makes Berkley Ca look like a picnic when it comes to radical progressive thinking. Oh and I officially welcome you to being a cheese head

Zero or anything going for it? That's a silly comment and what State are you from that has the world in captivation?
