Recently, ive started back doing my P90X everyday, usually at night before I go to bed. But im not quite if that is really helpful, since I'm resting right after the workout. Is it better to workout in the morning, afternoon, or evening?

if i work out too late at night its hard for me to go to sleep so for me the morning or afternoon is better. The morning I find I have less energy so i'd say early afternoon. But again that's just personal not scientific in any sense. Just maybe my experiences can help exrapolate if others find the same sort of things!

So i'd say early afternoon is best but can be a little hard to find the time. I just go in the morning as often as possible!

Whenever you feel like it. For me is when I feel the laziest(not a word I know) but whatever works for you.

Hahahaha well, thats kinda what ive been doing. When I feel really bored I end up just doing the P90x. But I guess i'll start in the afternoon. give my body some time in the morning to wake up and allow my body to cool off in the evening. icon_smile.gif

I think it's more important that you are working out (rather than focusing on when you're working out). Do it when it's convenient for you; because then you'll be more likely to continue. Sleeping after a work-out is not detrimental in any way.

I have read studies which suggest late afternoon is best as your body is warmest and most limber, and this generally works for me as I`m slow in the mornings.

But we`re all individuals, and many factors are involved in the best workout time. You have to find what suits you personally by trying different ones.

This article gives you the basics. But as others have said, the best time is the time that works best for you.
