I realize everyone is different but does stress affect your sex drive? Financial, mental, whatever kinda stress make you want sex less? or lose your drive almost totally until the stress is gone?

    OW,

Doesn't everything increase your sex drive? ;-)

For me, I'd have to say, it depends. If thinking about trying to figure out the logistics of having sex is more than I can handle, then it's going to decrease my drive. The opposite can be true too.

If I am stress out with certain problem , I wake up in the morning with a limp dick, if I am stressless, on vacation , nothing to worry about , I start the day with a raging morning wood. Now doesnt that tell us something.

Stress affect my blood pressure. High blood pressure is bad for our sex drive.

stress increases your cortisol levels ...
    which .... decreases sex drive
and increases blood pressure...and blood sugar levels
it's your body's way of getting ready for confrontation

Funny - I have the opposite reaction.

Stress - when things get really dangerous or hairy - only increases my drive.

Looking back, some of the best sex I ever had was under incredibly stressful conditions.

    Weird.

    Everything except orgasm.

I don't drink, do drugs or smoke. So that leaves only sex to distract me from stress.

Stress has a very bad effect on me. When I'm feeling too much stress, my mind is focused on the cause of my stress, not on sex, unfortunately.

Stress affects everyone on the planet. It affects people differently. If I'm stressed, I don't eat at all and it can last for a few days. I can't afford a few days without eating. Sexually, I get very horny. I know people who shut down because of it. Women and men alike. It depends on your make up.

My drive stays constant even under stress. It is a great stress relief actually. My attitude is different. When I'm low stress, I like to make love, nice an slow lots of foreplay building up from there. Maybe some sillyness or playfulness thrown in. When I'm stressed, I'll just take a good hard #$%^, thankyou.

    Actually this is something interesting...

I remember when 9/11 happend, a lot of my friends were all the sudden more promiscuous, well, myself included...

    It was very strange...

In some areas of the world, mothers masturbate their children to calm them down. There are even Renaissance-era depictions of St.Anne tickling the penis of the baby Jesus, although in that case I think it may have more to do with denoting the human body of Christ. (His corpse was also often depicted with an erection.)

Isn't that one of the memes of Shortbus -- sexplay as a life-affirming response to 9/11?

Oh actually ALL of the male cadevers we had in school had semi errections...

My physiology teacher said it is because the parasympathetic nervous system over rides the body at death. Parasympathetic nervous system relaxes all muscels inthe body, but has the opposie effect onthe muscle that stops the blood flow out form the penis...

Viagra also works to enhance the parasympathetic nervous system...

I am not sure how true this is, but every male cadever in our class had semi errect penis..

My boyfriend lost his job and he has been really stressed out lately. I massage his back, shoulders head and neck to releive his tension headaches but his normally rock hard huge cock rarely gets rock hard anymore and usually not for long. I know it's the stress of unemployment but I miss sex. I would never dump him over it. I hope he finds a good job soon.

Stress definitely kills my sex drive. Or if I'm just lost in deep thought (very analytical here) or focusing on other things, zero sex drive.

Then again, I'm not really into hookups so I tend to "turn it off" on my own. Keeps me out of trouble.

Stress makes me very horny but whats odd is that I shoot with less force when I'm stressed about something. Almost dribbles out but good amount and very intense orgasm just lacking distance. When I'm not stressed it's flying cum as usual. I've noticed after sex that I will feel a lot less stressed as well.

It definitely increase my desire for action... sadly my ability to perform decreases in the same proportion.

Can get it up, just don't seem to be able to cum.
