    There's nothing better than being accepted and loved for who you are. I'm not there with my folks, unfortunately. But I'm really hoping that changes.

    When you have to keep hiding who you are from the people closest to you, or when they reject you for who you are, it hurts your self-esteem, makes it more likely you'll develop anxiety or depression, etc. Your mental health takes a beating. Having a good foundation is essential.

    lol...I thought the same thing....but I think it is good to see reinforcement of this, especially for parents with GLBT children.
