Beginning to consider botox injections for my excessive hand/foot sweating problem so I've read reviews and related articles and just wanted to know if anyone on here has had this treatment or knows of somebody who did. If so, would you recommend it?

it does work but not for the length of time they say. 6-8 weeks tops.

The length of time depends on:

a) each particular person's body composition (some are completely resistant and some get a 6-8 month effect)

b) the number of units used

c) how diluted it is

d) number of injection points


I'm a Sports Medicine Physician and have used it extensively with athletes for the same reasons. Most of them get really good results. Then again, there's a few who don't.

yeah i've read that some people felt it wasn't worth it but then again, an article described a girl who had the results last for over a year

I've seen it on tv, seemed kinda painful + you have to redo it every 6-10 months or so, but if you have very sweaty hands and feet It would be worth it I guess.
I should also mention that the person who got it done on the tv show was very pleased with the result as he was socially isolating himself because he was afraid to shake hands with people.
