Looks like things are gonna be great for us under Romney - he won't bow at all to social conservatives in order to raise his approval/chance at election icon_rolleyes.gif

    http://www.boston.com/news/politics/articles/2012/06/12/mitt_romneys_administration_stifled_antibullying_guide_over_language_on_bisexual_transgender_youth/?page=full

Stifling the guide’s publication was among steps that Romney and his aides took during his last year in office to distance the Republican governor from state programs designed to specifically support gays, lesbians, and bisexual and transgender people. His critics said it was part of an effort to court social conservatives as he prepared for his first campaign for president in 2008.

The 2006 e-mail objecting to the “bisexual’’ and “transgender’’ language offers some of the clearest evidence of how some of Romney’s actions in office aligned with the goals of socially conservative activists, a key constituency in Republican presidential primary elections.

Many of the nation’s largest conservative, evangelical, and profamily organizations-such as the Family Research Council, Focus on the Family, and Concerned Women for America - have opposed suicide prevention and antibullying programs intended to protect gay teens because they say such programs promote homosexual activity.

“These programs were pushing a radical agenda. They were trying to indoctrinate people on the issue of sexual preference. Romney did the right thing by finally pushing back,’’ Kris Mineau, president of the Massachusetts Family institute, said in an interview.

Romney and the extreme right does not think gay taxpayers deserves the same freedom and rights as everybody else. Well-known from long ago.

Romney is making a major mistake by pandering to all these narrow minded, bible thumping screwballs who oppose any legislation that protects GLBT Americans from any type of bullying. The GOP leadership needs to realize that most Americans support laws that prohibit bullying against other groups of people including GLBT people. When is Romney going to wake upicon_question.gif

Romney agrees with the religious right Repubs who support allowing anti-gay bullying and violence in our schools in the hopes that the bullying and violence will scare gay teens into staying in the closet.

Romney agrees with the religious right Repubs who are willing to risk having gay teens beaten or killed if it keeps gay teens in the closet.

Romney is the most vocally and specifically anti-gay Repub candidate ever to run for president.

What do you mean? He's a moderate who supports gay civil unions! No difference between him and Obama when it comes to the gay community and civil rights! None at all! icon_rolleyes.gif

It's been obvious from long ago that Mitt Romneycare hates gay people. The only question is if any gay people are silly and self-loathing enough to vote for a guy who does not recognize their basic human rights.

It should also be noted that Mitt Romney hates children (his grand-kids will be forbidden to step foot in The White House - EVER!), and he hates roses (under a Romney Presidency "The Rose Garden" will be uprooted and replaced with "The Tulip Garden"), and, of course, he hates minorities of ANY kind so during a Romney Presidency, all people of color will be fired on the staff so that it is, indeed, The White House. icon_rolleyes.gif

According to Romney it's up to the President, since he will ban gay marriages at a federal level, unlike Obama. But that's because, unlike Obama, Romney thinks gay people should not have the freedom to marry. Romney and his right-wing Republican supporters believe that freedom and democracy do not apply to gays in any jurisdiction.

Romney has to give a literal Blowjob to the religious right in order to get elected

So this shouldn't be a surprise to you
There is a very good article that came out in the New Yorker this issue and it chronicles the American Family Assoc's Bryan Fisher
The very political evangelist who forced Romney to get rid of Richard Grenell who was an openly gay campaign worker
The Article is called Bully Pulpit and was written by Jane Mayer
