I've recently started to lift weights because I want to become more lean. If you want to look at my stats or goals you can look at my profile, but put short I'm an average guy aiming to become more lean. I have a friend who's very fit who gave me an old workout of his he used when he was trying to stay lean. Do you guys have any advice for me in general? I'd really appreciate it thanks!

To add to the other bit of information I put in another thread of yours, go check out the beginners articles on http://www.bodybuilding.com. The Strong and Lean program here on Real Jock is awesome, but requires a lot of muscle endurance and strength, so is not a good beginner's program, in my opinion.

He's right about the Strong and Lean; not a good beginner's program.
My boyfriend liked the Strength Foundation course (when he took the time to workout). It wasn't as taxing for him as a beginner, so I'd recommend trying it. http://www.realjock.com/workout/1057 make sure you watch all of the videos for the various workouts and don't rush things.
