Hey this is sad !!! Try getting this science info. through our repubs heads, they're the ones holding back progress on reducing our dependence on oil/Coal for fuel and electric. they're stuck in the 1800's where they think resources are endless and add to that their religious superstitions, like the Idiot Congressman who said "god will never destroy the earth again", quoted a similar bible text, then went on to say that God supplied an endless amount of energy resources. SUCH STUPIDITY !!!

In my state of VA some idiot legislator stated the other day that the Ocean Rising is a "democratic conspiracy theory". LOL !!!

How do you deal with such ignorance from the "Party of NO" in the face of such dire consequences for inaction ?

The article says "The most frightening thing is that this finding isn't about what will come if we do not act, but that our effects on the planet's environment -- global warming, population growth, and overall resource extraction -- means that we've already passed a "tipping point." This isn't a plea for change. These are things scientists have been warning us about for decades."

But the video says simply that there could be a tipping point so there should be policy before the tip.

Also the NYT blog http://green.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/06/06/are-we-nearing-a-planetary-boundary/ says "could be nearing a point "

Getting news from bloggers can be like playing telephone. Always try to access their original source because, well, there's nothing like planning your day with second hand information.

And just when I thought I didn't have to worry about retirement....
