Obama's "fundamental transformation of America" continues....

The number of Americans filing for first-time unemployment benefits climbed last week, indicating continued trouble for the labor market.

The Labor Department reported Thursday that 386,000 people filed new jobless claims in the week ended June 9, up 6,000 from the previous week's revised figure.

That was 11,000 more than expected. Economists surveyed by Briefing.com had forecast 375,000 people would file new claims.

In this thread, http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/2443226 several guys described how difficult the job market is and how guys are suffering. I felt really bad reading them but would not inject any politics in that thread.

I have a friend who has a business that he could double but will not expand in the US as long as Obama is in office because of the health care cost uncertainties and the excessive regulations, especially from the EPA. The best thing from a business perspective would be for him to close down and move all jobs to China. He won't do it because he cares about his employees. Bottom line - if Obama is reelected, he will most likely either do nothing or expand in China, keeping the US jobs even if it runs at a loss. If Obama is defeated, he will most likely expand capacity and double the jobs in the US.
