I am drinking water now and not milk or pop, but I still have a sweet tooth. Last year I tried flavored water and really liked it. I know if I drink regular water, I get bored with it, but if I drink flavored water I drink a lot more water. Is it better to drink more watered, flavored or not, or am I doing too much damge with drinking flavored water?

What a fantastic marketing success. Take the carbonation out of diet soda, and call it flavored water! Our brains now reanchor artificially flavored or syrup drinks as water (good) with a slight modification instead of soda (bad) with a modest modification. Brilliant.

Vodka and red bull are both mostly water. Drink 15 of 'em a day to stay healthy.

Seriously, this mostly depends on your personal assessment of the science and risk around the flavoring. For me, I'd rather have a glass of milk than a drink of Splenda. But in neither case would I be drinking them as part of a goal to drink more water.

I used to love "flavored water" when I was a kid:

...it was ten cents a half-gallon.

I add fresh-squeezed lemon to my water. It keeps it from being boring and it alkalizes the blood.

Little known fact; Budweiser is water with a squeeze of lemon juice in it. Or at least that's how strong-tasting I find it ;)

Sorry to any Bud fans out there, but I'd rather eat a cup of salt than drink Coors or Bud.

South Beach Diet makes these little flavor packets to add to your water. They have 5 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein and are amazing!!!!!!
