What would you do if your bank account gave you access to unlimited funds?

Would you spend all the money, some of the money or alert the bank of the error?

While not "unlimited funds" upon reconciling my accounts this month, I discovered that one of the banks had credited me an extra .45 cents. icon_biggrin.gif

Spread the worlds wealth equally, and allow social Darwinism to start again, but, this time from a point of universal fiscal equity.

Report the problem, then demand a cash reward...

So, if I leave the extra .45 cents in my account for a period of 3 years...do I get to keep it? icon_lol.gif

When I was 19, one of my mother's GIC's matured and the bank put it in my account. I remember getting out some cash on the way to the bars with my friends and seeing the receipt....your balance : $10 910 I almost shit myself. I didn't spend it though. I was afraid I'd have to pay it back. I was definitly happy I didn't spend it after finding out it was my mothers icon_lol.gif

I'd give it back. They'll discover their error in a few days anyway.

An old, broke rancher won the lottery - netting him $1 million dollars.
Reporters gathered around asking what the rancher's plans were now?
The poor old rancher just said, "I'm gonna keep on like before - no changes planned. I'm gonna keep right on ranchin' till its all gone."

What does finding a windfall of cash at your bank have to do with winning the lottery? Not a whole lot!

As Robin hood did... I'd take from the rich and give to the poor. First stop..."The Homeless shelter."....Next stop, "The Projects." next stop, "The Trailer Parks". Last stop, "The Welfare Department." I'd have to be picky and discriminative there..lol. And of course everyone gets gift cards and college grants, so that some of them couldn't use it for drugs, or get automatic cash...lol. I guess after than I'd be on the run for the rest of my life until Nottingham(my bank) was overthrown. heheh icon_lol.gif

I can't spend money. I just can't bring myself to do it unless it's for a practical reason and is a good price.

There was a time where I actually had to spend money or I would have lost it, and it was a hella stressful time. Wasn't entirely happy with how it turned out, but it could have been worse.

So to answer the question.. I would withdraw it and stow it somewhere and it wouldn't get touched until my family read my suicide note, telling them where to look.

I would leave it alone, as this has happened before( on the news) to some people and when they spent the money and it was discovered later; they were in a mess of a situation.icon_eek.gificon_cool.gif
