...at the corner store, a 6 pack of Budweiser in cans. I feel cheap and dirty.

(FYI, you can't buy beer in corner stores in Ontario, you have to go to government controlled beer stores).

Ooops, I posted this in all things gay. Ok...I, a gay man, bought beer at the corner store...

Well, it's no surprise, really. After all, you are dirty and cheap. I, on the other hand, do the classy thing and slurp it straight from the brown paper bag.

All it cost him was a cup of coffee, and not even the good stuff. What'd you expect...look at him!

Speaking of, I managed to brew coffee-flavored hot water again the other morning, and the first person I thought of was ShawnTX!

It was a gen-u-wine newfie moment. What's the Texan equivalent of a newfie moment, by the way? Is it a presidential moment?

Well Shawn... the first step in your becoming a true Texas... now where are the boots and your 4x4???

The ShawnTx assignment: Select a western store and go in there and look over the boots and belt buckles (boots are a requirement). I want a report on what you find. Pay attention to the Tony Lama and Justin area (but they fit differently....LOL).

I'm glad to hear you have taken you first step Shawn.. more to come...LOL

P.S. I don't drink beer actually, but many do..

I have the boots, hat and over-sized belt buckles, although I didn't bring the hat down with me. I'm originally from a small(ish) town, not Toronto, so these articles are not uncommon for me. Maybe I'll take pics sometime soon.

Be happy you're not from some states out west where bib overalls are haute couture!

Caslon, have I showed you my collection of Carharts and surplus military arctic survival boots?

Oh...wait. That's right. I was that moronic kid who couldn't be bothered to mess up his hair *gasp* and trudged around without a hat in -30 F Alaskan winters.

THE BEER STORE is the GREATEST! In Qu├ębec though you can buy beer anywhere, but our equivalent of the LCBO is the SAQ. Fun times.

But Bud? Couldn't you have gone for something better? Like Stella?

A "corner store" sounds fancy compared to "The Beer Box."

They have a normal store but sometimes it is just a giant box in the parking lot of the mini-mall.
