Six million more American youths now have health care, thanks to Obamacare.

A new survey shows that 6.6 million young Americans ages 19-25 have taken advantage of a provision in the new health care law that allows them to join their parents' insurance plan. That's the largest ever one-year increase in coverage for the age group.

So teenagers and college-age young people who can't afford their own insurance (mostly because they can't find real jobs) are now getting decent health care. This is what Romney wants to repeal immediately, if he is elected.

It must be nice for someone like Romney, to have zero worries about health care because you were born to rich parents and now have millions of dollars socked away -- much of it in secret Swiss bank accounts to avoid paying taxes. But Romney doesn't seem to understand -- or doesn't care -- that millions are struggling to get by. Why would he want to take away health care from young people who need it?

Every time Mitt Romney talks about repealing Obamacare, he should be asked why he wants to take away health care from 6.6m kids, and why he wants to reinstitute pre-existing conditions discrimination, and annual limits on benefits.

Romney should be more specific about "REPEAL".

Its general consensus that the republicans would continue this benefit.

And im sure it will be on the platform after the convention.

Anyway im sure the supreme court will beat him to it.

Assuming you are a doctor (or other health care professional), I am at a loss to know why someone in the so called 'caring professions' would resent anyone having better access to health care.

I'm not convinced he's a doctor. If he is, I'm assuming the MD is from the University of Guam.

Well fella's we should be very very afraid of this health care system with Obama's name attached to it. Because SoCal says Obama is taking us toward socialism and we should fear this socialist healthcare because it cuts into capitalist healthcare corps profits. Plus according to him such programs from Obama are taking us toward being a 'third world country'. LOL

Can you imagine people really believe this bullshit and actually are against these young people having insurance. ? What twisted logic these repubs have.

Now I'm of the understanding their employer must contribute to their health care or get a fine. Now if these youth go on holidays say to lake Tahoe and break Bones, and need to go to Hospital, are their employer required to pay for their medical treatment, or are they? As it did not happen at work!

If an employee gets Health Insurance through their work, this covers their health and medical issues regardless of whether they are work-related.

It's looking more and more like Obama is skipping the socialism step and going directly to a communist dictatorship, where he decides what laws he will and will not enforce and if the legislature won't pass laws he wants, he implements them anyway via decree.

Gee ... because until Obama did tat we had a Dictatorship of NO
Where one party put the stop on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that went through Congress they deemed unworthy

If the Dictator shoe fits.... icon_wink.gif

Well you like to reply a lot. Feel better now. I love it when someone calls someone else out on something they themselves do; it's such a pisser.

But all one did was ask a question, no statement, but you used this as an opportunity to abuse, must of ask something you did not like little man.

OK I thought that may be the answer, and I'm sorry I just can not accept that as being fair or just. Sure while a Peron is at work, on their way to work or straight home from work and hurt themselves, but not while on holidays or in their own time.

Thats just way to communist for me.

GUYS c'mon give Romney some credit! He was the one who signed the Massachusetts healthcare law. The law that the entire ACA is based on.

    Obamacare was Romneycare first!

The author of the ACA wrote an incredibly simple book that I think would good for most the people on this thread. I think it's called "Health Care Reform: What it is, Why it's necessary, and How it works."

Again, no clue what you're talking about and utterly hypocritical given that your country has actual "communist" healthcare. icon_rolleyes.gif

Did I say I support our Health Care and I pay my own Health Insurance, and a medicare Levi too, so my government does not give me free health care, I pay for it; not my employer, nor is my employer responcible if I hurt myself while off work, and away on holidays, and thats the way it should be too.

But you dismiss many facts and truths, that you don't like, so your disagreement with one and this truth is of no issue to one; it seems I care more about America than you do too.
