I do,, but minus the boa and feather duster.. I've had a house wench before and had to let her go years ago to get some bills paid.
I miss coming home on Friday after work to a clean house and having the entire weekend to play around.

I love to clean. Lmao
To the point that when I broke up with my last boyfriend I missed cleaning his place more than I actually missed him. True story.

Almost everyone I know has a house cleaning person they pay. However, over the past few years with the dwindling economy not many people can afford this luxury anymore.

I've always cleaned my own pad.

I'm typically a slob on a day to day basis.

But once I do clean, watch out! Even those most stringent Polish cleaning woman can't outdo me.

I truly miss that. A Friday maid is one of the Biggest Luxuries you could ever have.
Maybe one day again.

Seriously? Yes, I do. I've never been rich enough to have a maid.

Normally I'd do my own house cleaning, but I'm allergic to my dogs and dust, so cleaning up dog hair and dust can make me really sick. So I have a maid who comes every other week. Not really a luxury in my case....more of a necessity.

I could now,, but I'd rather spend that money on something else. I've really changed my spending habits over the past decade.

I dunno. I just wouldn't feel like my house is clean, unless I did it myself. Particularly the kitchen and bathroom.

It's a lot more expensive in the US to have housekeeping, but a hell of a lot cheaper here in Mexico.

I don't have a housekeeper, I have to do it all myself.

I'd love to have one, though.

I really don't mind doing my own. It kills all of Saturday afternoon for me, however, it isn't that bad. Plus laundry and ironing for the week are done at the same time.

Same here. I learned to appreciate a clean home. Wish I could've been more willing to do it in my youth.

No offense, TGND, but what if she gets sick, someone in her family falls ill; or dies?

I love doing housework. While it may not be the funnest thing in the world, the feeling of creating order from a mess is exhilarating.

She is doing several other's homes as well. I actually gave up my Friday morning spot to a neighbor. I found a replacement only 2 doors down and it's more money..
so.. in many ways it's a win-win.
I'm not one to throw anyone to the curb without a safety net.
