This is what is called "pulling a Danny" by me and my friends. I know someone who dated a Danny who always did this whenever we were having fun.

    That's incorrect.

A Calorie, with a capital C, is the amount of energy required to increase the temperature of 1 kg of water by 1 degree Celcius. 1 Calorie = 1 kcal = 1000 calories

A calorie, with a lowercase c, is the amount of energy required to increase the temperature of 1 g of water by 1 degree Celcius.

The three macronutrients of fat, carbohydrate, and protein, are measured in kcal. When people lose weight by cutting carbohydrate or cutting fat, they are really losing weight because they are cutting excessive kcal.

In our country, most people could lose a lot of weight by cutting alcohol, which seems to be socially acceptable to binge upon at 7 kcal per gram of alcohol.
