As many of us guys have, I loved buying the "Exercise for Men Only" and "Men's Exercise" magazines at book stores like Barnes and Nobles and Books-A-Million.

What has been racking my brain is I remember there were four titles with the company who owns Exercise for Men Only.

1. Exercise for Men Only
2. Men's Exercise
3. Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness
4. One I think was for women.

I have not seen ANY of these titles in my area of VA (Near Norfolk and VA Beach).

Have any of you all see these? Are they still in publication?

Please help,

Reagan

I believe the last publication for Men's Exercise was in December of 2011. You can find them via torrent if you really want them.

Playgirl perhaps? These magazines were equally as homoerotic if I remember correctly.

They had gay porn "stars" in a gym. It was an awesome concept.

I used to masturbate with those. Really educational!

Yeah, these mags were fap-worthy back in the day. But with so much internet pr0n, the market dried up I think.

By the way, the modern day equivalent would be the Under Gear shopping catalog. All the pictures, non of the text.

My grocery store carried both Men's Workout and Exercise for Men Only (at least I think it's Exercise for Men Only).

Boy is this thread a blast from the past. I was on the cover of EMO in 1989. I was wearing boxing gloves.

Ah, yes... I still have saved copies of Exercise for Men Only in my "workout" pendaflex file near my weights and benches/rack....truly! And plenty of pulled-out workout routines to use for inspiration.....

They also published a compilation of great male body artistic photography, another vintage softbound and well ogled volume I've kept around.

I'm not sure if they still publish or not - haven't scanned the magazine section of the big grocery stores here lately. Also we have no more Borders, never had B&N or Walden's here in Santa Fe in living memory.

But then came the INTERNET! Browsing from the comfort of your own home...

Very sad... loved "Exercise for Men Only"... I knew it had disappeared along with "Men's Exercise"... the other offerings are inferior... "Men's Workout", expensive (and poor) "Exercise & Health"....

Sorry to hear this, but I wondered what had happened.
Wish they had declared the last copies as such... nothing was ever said about the end.

It's around. It remains my favorite of the "for men only" titles.
