I know a lot of old people around me, my parents are old too and everyone has aches and pains, it kinda is making me fear old age. I wonder if you guys ever felt that time is going by faster than usual. I guess no one is getting younger. I just don't want to be sick or ill and in need of assistance if I stay single, knowing majority of gay guys are single in their old age let alone when they are younger icon_eek.gif

27 is old enough for me, no need to live past that.

If your life was the opening of a Broadway play, would you be worrying that some day the show may be cancelled, or would you shut up and enjoy it? icon_smile.gif

You're dealing with old parents. That's a tough time in your life and it's understandable that you need to take in some youth and energy. So hang with the young crowd------it's a good antidote to the burden of caring for old folks who are too focused on their aches and pains.

Yet be aware that there are lots of older folks who aren't 'Actively Dying'----dwelling on their demise.

I've got friends in their 70s who are phenomenally energetic and active, travelling the world and staying intellectually vibrant. I pursue their company.

I know 30 year olds who are determined to bore themselves to death. Avoid them.

oh i love old people, I tend to help them out in some shape or form, however at times i feel exhausted. What was shocking was that my aunt told me that I too slowly am starting to act and think like I am 80. I guess I was always mature for my age, been through a lot in my life and closer to my parents than my brothers. I agree, there are some younger guys who do act old and that is not good.

Getting in shape will help. I'm 48 and I work out 7 days a week, an average of an hour or a little less a day. You can cheat father time for many years if you're in good shape.

Yea you bring up a good point about when we get old. I think whomever starts old folks homes for gay guys will become a billionaire. Probably will have banging going on at 90 years old. I think most fit people don't get sore joints and muscles till their 60s. 50s starts though.

There are old folks homes for gay persons. You can find some via a google search.

Regarding aches and pains associated with aging, people of any age can experience aches and pains. Often they can be adequately dealt with by using appropriate stretching exercises, without medications; experimentation helps.
