Obama Spends More Than He Raises as Aides See Romney Advantage

President Barack Obama spent more on his re-election effort last month than he raised, ending May with $109.7 million cash on hand, according to U.S. Federal Election Commission reports filed today.

The $39.1 million his campaign took in was outpaced by $44.6 million it paid for television advertisements, employees, offices and other expenses, the reports show. The spending rate is a reversal from the past three months, when the campaign was taking in millions more than it was spending.

Now that they don't have a funding advantage they're starting to complain about money in politics. Thankfully the laws have started to turn against the public sector unions racket.

Yeah... definitely "financial difficulties" ahead for the Obama campaign.

Which explains why he finds himself in Hollywood as much as he does.

Which reminds me of this... So much better than dealing with those stupid, little people who cling to their guns and their religion...

Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, invites you to a New York Night with President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Sarah Jessica Parker on June 14th. Don't miss your chance to join them—your airfare and hotel are covered.

The other guests will pay $40,000 or $80,000 per couple for the pleasure of dining with the Obamas. But fear not, the rich will not be demonized this evening.

PS: Extra credit if you are able to properly affect a finishing school accent.

The way things are starting to look, he'll have plenty of spare time next year. Oh wait...my mistake...he had plenty of free time this year. That day job didn't interfere too much.

And his repeated trips back to back here in Atherton, Woodside and San Francisco. Two planes with numerous cars and staff. Christ - think of the expense.............on the backs of the taxpayers. Hope and Change? No thanks, Obama. Not what we need. If you worked HALF as hard on the economy as you do trying to get reelected, wouldn't that be something?

I'm glad he's not spending as much time working on the economy. If he worked harder, we would be saluting a red star on the White House.
