    I am a Christian.

However, I am not a biblical literalist. And I don't believe in a personal God.

That´s like being a capitalist who doesn´t believe in the free market. Or private property...

Yes, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour.

You could say that I'm a "fundie" (short for fundamentalist).

I'm Christian (Doug) and Bill , like the handsome Lincbear, is a sympathetic atheist (which term I haven't heard before but is really rather wonderful)

    Speaking of the Christian thing
i wonder why the fuck are Christians being divided into so many denominations as baptist , Lutheran, Anglican, catholic, orthodox, etc etc

btw im Protestant(Euro-American Methodist) - Orthodox(Russian) but i prefer to call myself a christian than saying the type of christian i am !

Because if there really truly were "just one god" then he would have revealed himself to humans long before religion started.

A fact for you to research: Throughout human existence, there have been over 300,000 "gods," and over 1,000 of them have been "monotheistic" (meaning 'only one god').

I will say that I am. However in my view, only God can truly know if I'm right or if I'm simply fooling myself.

There is a way that you can KNOW you are a Christian.

By genuine sincerely accepting the Blood that Jesus shed on the cross for the forgivness of all your sins, for all time.

Thank you for giving me reassurance of my salvation, my brother.

Still, I will not be so bold as to make a judgement which (in my view) only God may pass.
