Mitt Romney's presidential campaign asked Florida Governor Rick Scott to tone down his statements heralding improvements in the state’s economy because they clash with the presumptive Republican nominee’s message that the nation is suffering under President Barack Obama, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Scott, a Republican, was asked to say that the state’s jobless rate could improve faster under a Romney presidency, according to the people, who asked not to be named.

A Romney adviser made the request this week to Scott’s staff after press releases from the governor’s re-election campaign and Internet messages from the Florida Chamber of Commerce trumpeted the state’s drop to 8.6 percent unemployment rate in May from 8.7 percent in April, the people said. Florida’s jobless rate was 11.1 percent in December 2010.

I have NO doubt about this whatsoever!

Romney’s staff has concluded there’s no benefit in appearing with Scott, said two campaign advisers who asked for anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the matter.

Gee.. I wonder why! Could it be that the Republicans in this state hate his guts too? 29 percent approval rating the day he took office! Now that's something to be proud about.. isnt it?icon_wink.gif

OH MY GOD !!!! SoCal will be on this one like "STIINK ON SHIT", saying this is nothing but a conspiracy theory. Romney's team would never do a thing like this to make himself look more electable !!! LOL

All facts that Dems research and expose are Conspiracy theories and all republican assumptions about the evil motives behind Obamas acions and policies are facts.

How long do you think it will take for the Conservaposse apologetics and excuse making to begin ?

I think Romney better worry less about what Rick Scott is SAYING and worry more about RICK SCOTT

The man is the worst governor any State could ever have
He's a walking Billboard for a reelect Obama campaign

The latest polls have Obama ahead in Florida.

Hard to see how Romney gets to 270 electoral votes without Florida.

It's not. It's not at all surprising that American's gay hatred party also wants the country to fail. Right-wing Republicans are dangerous to freedom and democracy.
