Everybody gets in a funk once in a while. Unless it continues for a while, I 'd go with it. Have a pint of ice cream.

I hear Toronto has really warm weather but what would I know? I haven't been outside my basement or around 8 days.

I need Double Chocolate Irish Cream ice cream, with cookies, and whipped cream. Sides of bacon and sausage.

Anyone got an eat myself to death meme?

Everyone gets in funks sometimes. I find that going for a run, hike, or a bike ride helps clear your head of negativity as the endorphins kick in. When all else fails, a little retail therapy works wonders. Nothing like a cool new shirt to lift the spirits. Hope you have a great day!

If it is any consolation, it is cloudy, damp and 14 degrees C (57F) here in the UK. And, no, we are not in the southern hemisphere.

My suggestion to you is rub a few out, and go have some fun with friends. It's ok to feel like shit every so often. It's ok to take pity on oneself occasionally. (Not saying you are.) Still, it's better to try to improve your situation if you can. Good luck man.

I have been down the last few weeks, but I think I am starting to pull out of it and feel better. Sorry you're having a difficult time.

I agree with others who suggested you get outside (since the weather is good where you are this weekend). It never fails that even if I'm feeling just fine - - - I feel even better if I get outside and go for a hike, or a run, or even just a dog speed-walk. Just seeing trees, sky, flowers, lawns, beauty of all kinds - - - makes me feel even better. Pump those endorphins!

Hope this helps you pull yourself up today.

I've never understood what beauty people see in a hot, sunny, stinky, sweaty day. Cloudy days are cool enough that being fab and rad doesn't make you feel gross.
Just save your fab for a day when no one is expecting you to be, and you'll appear even more fab in contrast!

    Ouch!

Or you could venture down to Central Florida where it's hot, humid and looks like it will rain all weekend.

Cheer up, buddy and I have an answer: Just get in the car and take a drive. Go to a favorite shopping spot or to an urban-like area where people congregate and grab some coffee, window-shop. I have done things like that just to shake off the doldrums and feel energized every time.

Stand for a while. Listen. See. Smell. Feel the little dance in your body as your weight shifts, your lungs expand and contract. Swallow, and imagine the saliva falling into your belly. Let the emotions find distance as you focus gently on these things, and let time soothe them. Allow yourself this little vacation. They will be there, waiting for you when you get back, so don't worry. You don't need to throw them away, or pretend they don't exist. You don't need to fight them. Just breathe free for a moment, and then many. Immerse yourself in the drumming of each heartbeat.

Shift your weight. Change it again. Relax your shoulders. Face. Change weight again. Breathe in. Out. Wriggle your fingers. Tap out a rhythm. Scrunch your toes. Breathe. Rebalance. Swallow. Smile.
