I lack confidence, social skills, and status. I just wish I were someone most of the time. Some people go about life so effortlessly, but I'm just a trainwreck

you CANT do anything if you hate yourself......
Or it's just a period with that feeling.... it will pass soon
You'll be alright and see what to do , what to get , reasons to be you....
Please stop wishing you were another people , that thought could ruin everything,
Let's find things to do , join in activities, get the joy and experience icon_biggrin.gif
And be happy , this face is always on my mind so I barely have negative thought .. images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTWlpABi_uSsLatqxz_J28
    Hope you fine.

Develop your spirituality. Whether this takes the form of philosophy, mediation, religious fellowships, psycho-analysis, support-groups, charity work, team-work or the like- whatever it is that takes you/your mind 'out of yourself' and into something greater than you alone.

Don't throw a pity party. The only way to work on this is one issue at a time. Start with the confidence and the rest of it will follow.

Why don't you have confidence? Figure out the root of it and work from there. Judging by the other things you mentioned I'd guess you probably suffer from Social Anxiety. You can fix this and it doesn't necessarily take as long as you'd think it might. Buy a book, see a therapist, do whatever it takes. Once you have some confidence the rest is easy.

This is assuming you aren't trolling.

If you are trolling.... ummm... Get drunk and have a pity party.

I think a great deal of us go through periods of self loathing and deprecation, but like Karl said, You can't do anything if you hate yourself. You have to find enough self love in yourself to pull yourself up by your boot straps, put on positive face and continue to strive to make yourself become who you want to be.. because you will always have one card that alot of people sadly don't have. That is that you are ALIVE.. you can do absolutely anything you want, or at least get half way there attempting. And thats better than staying still. So just build your confidence up by doing things that help you feel better about yourself. Only you know what that is.

And always live for you.. and no one else.

Can't possibly compare to my situation... I have had all sorts of diseases including HIV and advanced stage cancer. I feel like my body is dying just to kill over rotten. I just pic up from where I left off and move on as somebody mentioned "one day at a time". I really got down on myself last semester for dropping my classes, but I'm going to take them again this semester and probably do well at it. You just have to take it slow and your mind and body will know when to speed up. There's a quote I like to give once in awhile, "The person we want to become is the person we already are." - Ernest Holmes

Do you currently go to school? If so, why don't you try scheduling an appointment to see a counselor for personal counseling? It's nicer to talk to someone face-to-face rather than through text on an online forum.
