They will die off if Mitt Romney is elected.

Edit: Of course I'm speaking from an American standpoint.

As very difficult to speak about in general. So many causes for poverty, so many attitudes toward it among the poor. Very difficult to mass them all together.

It's interesting that most poor people don't see themselves as poor.

One person's 'poor' is another person's 'doing well'.

Considering I've been poor for most of my life, I know that they are no different than anyone else. It boggles my mind that people think they're better than someone else just because they have more money.

I see them as the people who need most of our attention. It's sickening how they have been treated by some politicians. They have no problem in stalling efforts to eliminate tax cuts and loopholes for those who don't need it, but they're swift to take action for programs aimed at helping the needy.

And they call themselves Christians icon_eek.gif

Well if you judge me as an independent, I'm technically poor. People are poor for a number of reasons. I'm just working hard now to begin to support myself and not rely on my parents for everything. Poor people shouldn't be looked down upon unless they're purposely being that way in that they are too lazy to work and want someone to support them all the time. However, there are many poor, hard-working people.

One finds it amusing that the cost of living in America is so cheap. yet they cry poor. maybe they should try living in one of the worlds most livable cities, and the cost that comes with it.

It is quite a shock to see the disparity between the cost of living here and in the states.

In America they are a solid vote for the democratic party. The party just wants to keep them down socially and economicly so they continue to get thier vote. Its sad how that political party treats poor people
