I reconnected with a really nice, fit, conscious man. I dig him.

I am in the midst of a lot of exciting business growth.

    Nice. icon_smile.gif

For me, our game project is going great. Everyone's really motivated and there's a really good possibility that we will win the contest we will be joining.

In real life, parents are now preparing to send me to New Zealand (will still take about a year or something *sigh*), and from there hopefully to Belgium to my sister. Being independent and coming out fully comes closer and closer everyday. icon_biggrin.gif

My perennial beds and my new marathon training program. My life this summer seems to be revolving around these two items.

It started out as a letter to the editor - it became a centre page article!

    ....it's 2 pages, sorry!

PS we don't live in Burnaby as of 2 weeks ago.

I feel like I'm clicking on several levels which is great.. I like a balanced approach, both personal and business.

    actually...things are getting much better.
I hit a rough patch for a while there. (SEE PROFILE)
And I guess it all came to a head.
It's like your in a bad dream and someone has to shake you and tell you to WAKE UP!... and forces you to move forward. Guess I must have had a delayed "grief reaction". Very weird.

Suddenly things are falling into place on different fronts, (business and personal) and I feel better.

And the shoulders are more square and walking tall(er) again. ;)
    Feeling good.
It's amazing how once you "get your groove back" how fast everything turns back around in your favour for ya.

I think I just had to snap out of the "ugh" I was in.
And I thank the person that snapped me out of it.

Im doing good with new friends and a better outlook on life. icon_smile.gif And I just moved to an awesome new place with a great roomie! Plus I am kicking ass in the gym again and it feels good to be back to a good workout routine again (after 5 mos ago letting Bertha out and into Edys ice creams after a breakup and bad personal family issues).

Things are starting to go better, but my sleeping could improve...damn Diet Red Bulls. LOL cat for insomnia? Cas get on this one?icon_rolleyes.gif

Actually, everything is going pretty awesome for me this year.

Work has been great, with lots of new research projects. Plus all the hard work has been paying off: bonuses here and there; another company offered me a job yesterday. icon_surprised.gif

I've added cycling to my regimen, and I LOVE it!

And, I feel fantastic (mentally as well as physically). I've never felt this good in my life, so I'm rolling with it. icon_biggrin.gif

I leave for a week's vacation today at Easton Mountain, so I'm glad to be moving on mentally. I didn't get the job I was hoping for, so this will be a good time to regroup.

Also, it seems like the dating gods have deemed that I'm ready, and all of a sudden a whole bunch of guys are entering my life, so I'm interacting a lot more, and hopefully something will come of this. I think I'm finally ready after three years of single living to do the boyfriend thing, and that feels really good.

Also, the workouts have been doing really well, and although my weight on the scale hasn't changed much, I know my body composition has. I can finally look at myself in the mirror and see the goal of what I'm trying to get my body to look like. Additionally (and probably more importantly) there are many exercises that I haven't been able to do or do well, that I can now do. I can feel my core strength is much better, and I can do planks now. Yippee! The goal now is to be wearing a squarecut at the beach next year!

My new job is going great, and despite the hiccups that come with moving to a new country, I'm settling in quickly, geting all my new furniture and making new friends.

A year ago I had a bad case of 'slipped disc' (never felt pain like that in my life). It radiated to my leg and I had a partly paralysed right foot.
Now, a year later, I am back in the gym and I play squash once a week. All this without an operation. Just a lot of exercise.

This has been a big year so far. Stressful early on, but I'm so fortunate to be able to say that we have our health, are feeling comfortable and welcome in a new town, and the business is doing well.

Most importantly, my partner and I had our 10 year anniversary a few months ago, and we're closer and more in sync now than ever. Pretty wonderful.

Sorry if that made you barf. icon_smile.gif Couldn't be avoided.
