I just arrived home from a short but fun vacation. I came home with a different attitude. I just wonder why it's so hard to readjust to "normality" or maybe my vacation is telling me something.......icon_idea.gif

    How about you?

    More details to follow~

I went on a Carnival cruise several years ago with my family. While I was there, in the disco, I met a really cute boy who just so happened to be from Charlotte, NC. I was living in Greensboro, NC at the time, so it was kind of a strange coincidence considering many people on the boat were of international origin.

I remember one night specifically that we spent together. We were standing on the back of the deck looking up at the stars when we both saw a shooting star sail through the sky... and then we kissed. It was magical in a Disney sort of way. lol

Anyway, we hung out over the next few days and I completely fell for him... talk about "The Love Boat." haha Turns out, we dated for about a month when I got back. I was so smitten that I even chronicled the entire trip in my journal. It was one of the best trips I have ever taken and David made it that much more memorable. Even if it didn't last very long, I'll always remember that cruise and how I felt the entire week.

    le sigh... icon_wink.gif

Went on a cruise with my 'rents at 19 and had a killer time getting fucked up and partying with a bunch of other kids. It left from Galveston, so there were tons of people from Dallas and it was just badass.

I went to Hawaii, and was taking pictures of the sunset on the beach by myself. And this guy, SUPER-hott guy by the way, comes and plants himself right next to me and says "its a nice sunset, huh??"

I looked at him all crazy cuz it was really wierd, but I replied and we started talking a little. Mind you I was so nervous, that I had to keep myself from shaking cuz this guy was so fine! haha, in any case, we exchanged numbers and the following night he picked me up from my hotel and we had dinner and then hung out the rest of the night.

Talk about your perfect getaway! hahaicon_wink.gif

Ten years ago a weekend vacation I took, coupled with the words of my embittered grandfather catapulted me out of a well-paying office job. I promptly began to work for myself, paying self-employment taxes. No regrets.

Sigh the best thing that's happened to me on vacation.

There was cultural misunderstanding at the Emirates check in desk and as a gesture of understanding they offered me a first class seat...

They had me confirmed as an islamic pilgrimicon_rolleyes.gif

True story, but that was back in the day when a that a wouldn't have been considered an insult
