Lochte is attractive, but the only place Phelps looks good is in those Subway commercials

It will definitely be interesting. Phelps is winding down his career, yet he is still very competitive and hungry. Lochte has been doing great the past year so hopefully he hasn't peaked before the Olympics.

I feel like I've seen a headline like this already a few times before. And of course, every time it was swimming. Still funny, though!

Phelps is very close to becoming the most decorated Olympian of all time, although it pains me to think of him beating the current record holder who's a gymnast icon_evil.gif

He'll easily surpass that record. He already has 16 total 14 of them gold and he's competing in 8 events at the London games. He'll likely medal in each of his 8 events. the only question will be how many of them will be gold.

Actually, I think the likelihood of that happening (Lochte peaking) is pretty remote. From everything I've seen, Lochte has been training hard core for a while now, and this showed in how he performed at some of the U.S. Championship meets before the Trials, where he was well off his best times and rarely won any medals. Now he's begun his taper, which we witnessed yesterday in the 400 IM where he SMOKED Phelps and took first place.

Lochte is much more fun to look at than Phelps, in my opinion.

I don't really know much else about him, so can't really say much other than a superficial judgement on looks, lol.
