Yes, The Other Side was really a wrinkle bar, as they say, or I've heard it called God's Waiting Room. But it IS a shame that there are no piano bars left in LA...I remember the late 80s to late 90s...The Rose Tattoo, Capones, etc...I enjoyed those places even at the age of 30-something....It was a nice way to start an evening or stop by for happy hour....a nice glass of wine and good conversation. I thought that the East/West Lounge on Sta. Monica Blvd would have filled the void somewhat but no, even that's been changed (back) to yet another technofied grind room. It has its place, but what about variety, or should I just kill myself now because I'm older? NYC and Chicago still have piano bars, so I don't get it.

This prompted me to check a piano bar my late partner & I frequented in Houston, called Keys West. And sadly, it appears closed.
