when you're nominated and start getting votes, why does the site always tell you that you have more votes than the number of voters it will list for you? Example, my profile says "he has 8 votes" but if i click the "My Man of the Day Voters" link I only see four users listed. I'm just a little confused is all.

Because it takes a while for the new votes to propagate across all servers.

If non-verified people could vote, the results would be too easy to rig.

That's because your profile is only viewable for logged in members. If you switch it to public, then you can be voted for MOTD.

And have the pleasure of Google indexing your profile/images.

Some dignity could always be brought to the pageant if each contestant was asked to answer a question.

but that would require an insurmountable list of qualifications, like being actual real people....who are able to coherently string words in response to a prompt icon_confused.gif You may as well cancel the whole thing now!

No one's ever voted for me, so I'm assuming the system is flawed. icon_neutral.gif I mean, right? What other explanation could there be? icon_cry.gif
