    Sorry, dear, I don't look that manly.
    Maybe a thin, dead, female, American poet? Anyone?

    ::: BOWING :::

    Thank you, thank you! I'd like to acknowledge all the little people that made this possible, but that would be all of you, and I really don't have the time.

    And so in conclusion, I conclude with the conclusion to Emily Dickinson's poem: A Toad Can Die of Light:

    Why swagger then?
    The gnat’s supremacy
    Is large as thine.

    Aesthetically, yes. I agree, but I have yet to see the poetry that would spark such a curious question to begin with... but I'm guessing your actual poetry is more in the realms of Mazzy Star, and Dante's Inferno, with a touch of Dickinson. icon_neutral.gif

    Shouldn't this thread be "Which Dead Female Poet Does the Guy Above You Resemble?"

    This is RJ, we have standards to uphold.

                Dying
    I heard a fly buzz when I died;
          The stillness round my form
    Was like the stillness in the air
          Between the heaves of storm.

    The eyes beside had wrung them dry,
          And breaths were gathering sure
    For that last onset, when the king
          Be witnessed in his power.

    I willed my keepsakes, signed away
          What portion of me I
    Could make assignable,-and then
          There interposed a fly,

    With blue, uncertain, stumbling buzz,
          Between the light and me;
    And then the windows failed, and then
          I could not see to see.
